30.06.07 - 01.07.07 Portsmouth & Isle of Wight

It was far from a perfect outing. Surprisingly, I think I enjoyed the trip. :-) I guess, a good trip is not about what I get to do/see; It's how to make the best out of the trip matters.

London Tube of 1930s. And it's still working & functioning well

Hovercraft
(I missed it, cos I can't find its port....until I bought ferry tickets)

Traditional English Breakfast

Henry VIII - The man that changed England

I don't usually blog about hostels, because I believe most hostels are welcoming, friendly & warm. It's a great place to meet other travelers & make friends. That's the backpackers spirit. Well, until I came across this INTERESTING BACKPACKER hostels at Portsmouth. Just look at the house rules!!!

On top of that the staff was really unfriendly & rude. She even interogateD me on what am I doing in England! No, she was not trying to start a friendly chat, she was INTEROGATING me. I felt like slapping her. And they even installed CCTV all around the hostel. In case someone left rubbish in the lounge, someone will come knocking on your door and get you to pick it up.

Wonder who on earth running this hostel? Clue, look at this interesting notice
